The above map shows the manorial estates in St. Mary's County, Maryland in the period from 1637 to 1690. It is based on the research of Peter Himmelheber on the land-records on file at Annapolis, Maryland. Clearly visible on this map are Cross Manor and St. Elizabeth's Manor, both of which John NUTTHALL IV [of CROSS MANOR] acquired from Thomas CORNWALLIS on 9 August 1661.
